This cold weather not only stresses me out—duh, I don't like anything below 70- but it also feels like there’s an uptick of illness around every corner.
We went to NC for Thanksgiving, and on the way home Tom spiked a fever. By Sunday, he was down for the count with the flu: fever, muscle aches, headache, a breathy uncontrollable cough—the whole nine yards. Thankfully, he’s MUCH better now. The only thing he didn’t do on this list below was get on the rebounder.
Meanwhile, I’ve been in full-blown “mission mode” over here…
Deep cleaning the house like a crazy person, washing every linen, pillow, and article of clothing we own, and spraying Force of Nature (see below) on literally every doorknob, light switch, toilet seat, & honestly, anything Tom even looked at!![]()
I’ve also been loading up on all my supplements and getting my twice-a-day dose of red light just to stay ahead of whatever germs are trying to plot against me.
So, in the spirit of kicking illness in the rear, I thought I’d share a peek into a few of my go-to routines and wellness hacks this time of year.
Let’s dive in…
This Week's Friday Faves
Oscillococcinum
My Ride-or-Die Immune Backup Plan

We’re officially in that season — the one where everyone is coughing, sniffling, or “just a little tired” (which we all know is code for I’m getting sick but don’t want to admit it yet). And listen… this is my #1 supplement tool this time of year.
Oscillococcinum is a homeopathic remedy meant for flu-like symptoms, but I take it for every single bug floating around in the air. If someone around me so much as looks congested, I’m popping those little pellets like clockwork.
Yes, it’s ridiculously expensive. I know. But it’s a non-negotiable for me — especially right now with Tom having the flu. I'm popping those pills like it's my fulltime job!
It’s pricey, so keep an eye out at CVS or Walgreens for sales — or stock up when you see a good deal. Amazon has it on sale through my link below right now too.
Don't go through winter without it.
Throat Coat Tea
My Daily “Soothe + Support” Staple

If you’ve been around here awhile, you know this tea has a permanent spot in my kitchen. I’m actually drinking a cup as I type this. Whenever my immune system feels wobbly or I just want a little immunity boost, Throat Coat is the first liquid I reach for.
Here’s why I’m obsessed:
- Licorice Root — Great for digestion and respiratory health and has the most soothing properties.
- Slippery Elm — Think “nature’s lubricant.” It coats and comforts irritated tissues (especially that scratchy throat feeling).
- Marshmallow Root — Naturally mucilaginous (fancy word for “super soothing”), supports cough relief, and even calms digestion.
Enjoy as a hot tea or brew using 5 tea bags for a big pitcher to keep in the fridge to drink during the day. I find it cheaper to order in bulk from Amazon.
A few quick notes:
If you have allergies to plants in the parsley family, skip this one.
And trust me… get the original flavor. It’s the best one. The others are IMO disgusting!
Force of Nature
The Safer (and More Effective!) Alternative to Clorox

When it comes to staying healthy this time of year, I want something easy, safe, and powerful—without bathing my house in bleach fumes. That’s exactly why I love Force of Nature.
This little system is mighty:
- Kills 99.9% of germs (flu, RSV, Norovirus, staph… all the things)
- Just water, salt, and vinegar — seriously, that’s it
- EPA-registered for hospitals and medical facilities
This cleaner is the real deal—EPA-approved to wipe out viruses, bacteria, mold, and mildew. It’s basically a disinfecting superhero in a tiny bottle. I use it everywhere: kitchen counters, bathrooms, doorknobs, my phone, and honestly… any surface that looks at me the wrong way.
And yes — I clean my produce with it too. It’s that safe.
PLUS… it’s ridiculously fun to mix up. You literally feel like you’re in a mini chemistry lab watching the activation happen. (If you’ve never seen it, here’s the video—it’s oddly satisfying). Check it out!
Lumebox
My Ride-or-Die Red Light Therapy

If you’ve been here a minute, you already know… I cannot quit talking about my red light. And honestly? I won’t. It’s that important for my overall lymph + immune support.
I use my Lumebox every single day, but when I’m feeling rundown or fighting anything, I give myself extra sessions. One of my favorite ways to use it: I lay down for a power nap, turn onto my side, and tuck the panel behind my head. I usually fall asleep with it glowing — and that little 20-minute nap + red light combo feels like a full reset for my cells. Truly magical. β¨
Red light supports cellular repair, boosts mitochondrial energy, reduces inflammation, and helps your body recover faster… which is why it’s one of my top “don’t skip it” tools, especially this time of year.
And because I get asked this constantly:
Yes — you can always get the Lumebox deeply discounted with my link. Instead of $629, it’s $369 every day. One of the best deals out there for a medical-grade panel.
My Rebounder
The Bouncy Immune Booster

DISCLAIMER - this product is NOT used in my home like this. π It's the only quick picture I could fine of the one I am recommmending.
If there’s one thing that would be a true game changer for my immune and lymphatic health, it’s using this little rebounder more regularly. I forget how easy and calming it is to just march or bounce for three minutes… but wow, does it make a difference. You don't have to do anything extravangant! Literally just walking in place is sufficient. I rarely jump on mine anymore. (Hello...bladderπ)
Why I love it: gentle rebounding helps move lymph, boosts circulation, supports immune drainage, and gives your cells a little “wake-up call” without stressing your joints. And the best part? This mini trampoline folds up to ¼ of its size—slides under a bed, behind a sofa, even in the trunk of your car. So no excuses… for you or for me. π
*I have had my rebounder for 10 plus years now but after lots of research this one seems very comparable. I honestly wish mine had a bar! Check it out on my Amazon link HERE.
Shop My Faves
Whew… that’s a wrap on Part 1 of our little lymph + immune support Friday Fave series. I hope something in here nudges you to take one small intentional step toward feeling better in your own body this week. Whether it’s sipping tea, hopping on a rebounder for three minutes, or just getting outside for some fresh air—you’re worth the effort, my friend. π
As always, if you try any of these or have your own immune-boosting tricks, hit reply and tell me. I love hearing what’s working for you.
